The Genetic research currently being done at the Canine Genetics Laboratory of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine currently needs more DNA samples in search of the genetic mutation associated with idiopathic seizures in Rottweilers.

DNA samples are needed from dogs known to have experienced idiopathic seizures, and from related dogs that have not experienced seizures.

Below are the forms that must be completed and submitted in order to send in DNA samples. There is no cost to submit a sample, and most vets will not charge to draw and submit the samples as it is for research purposes.
